Apple Pie Pizza

1 pie crust
3 or 4 large apples of your choice
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons cold butter or margarine

Roll out crust to fit a 12 inch pizza pan, flute edges.  Bake for 10 minutes in a 400 degree oven.  Remove and sprinkle cheddar cheese over the crust.  Mix remainder (except butter) together in bowl.  Peel and slice apples into sugar mix and stir to coat.  Arrange the slices in circles starting from outside edge completely covering crust.  Sprinkle any leftover mix over top of apples.  Dot with pieces of butter on top.  Bake at 400 degrees until apples are tender.
