Chocolate Pudding Cake

Ingredients
1 package (18 1/4 ounces) chocolate cake mix
1 package (3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
2 c (16 ounces) sour cream
4 eggs
1 c water
3/4 c vegetable oil
1 c (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
(Ice cream or whipped cream, optional)

Directions
In a mixing bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into a 5-qt. slow cooker that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs. Serve in bowls with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Yield: 10-12 servings
