Frozen Fruit Salad

Ingredients
1 pkg. (8 oz) cream cheese at room temperature
2 T Myonnaise
1 (15.5 oz) can fruit cocktail, drained (see below) *
1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 pint whipped cream
1 c pecans or almonds (optional) chopped
Maraschino cherries to decorate: halved, drained, blotted on paper towel

Directions
Blend cream cheese and mayonnaise together. Mix fruit cocktail (or canned fruit of choice) and drained pineapple with cream cheese mix. Whip the cream with a sugar (2 T or to taste). Gently fold the cream cheese and fruit mixture along with 3/4 cup nuts (optional) into the whipped cream, mixing thoroughly. Spread evenly into 9x13 pan. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup chopped nuts on top. Place maraschino cherries 1 1/2 inch apart so each piece, when cut, will have a cherry in the middle. Cover with plastic wrap so that wrap touches the surface of the fruit salad. Cover with heavy foil and freeze.
*Instead of fruit cocktail, use any of these canned fruits: blueberries Queen Anne cherries, mandarin oranges, or a combination. Kids love this salad when miniature marshmallows (2/3 pkg) are added along with the fruit.
